I’ve never used it as a freezer. It is bulky, so I keep it behind the passenger seat. I like it so much better than a cooler and ice. No more melted ice mess. The BougeRV is easy to clean. Just wipe it down.
Absolutely love this product. I use it in my work van to save myself from having to buy bags of ice every day. However, the low-voltage shut off feature does not work. This product will run until it drains your battery down. I keep mine on the max setting and if I do not start my van at least every other day (which usually only occurs if I’m off on the weekends) then I have to jumpstart my van. Initially, I had to start my van every day to prevent this product from draining my battery. Recently, I have installed a second battery in parallel with my main battery and has gotten me at least every other day of starting the van. Before I purchased this product, I read a lot of the reviews, and there were many complaints about the temperature controls on this product. I have mine set at 34°F and temperature maintains between 33 and 36°F. To me 36° water is pretty freaking cold and delicious and I really can’t tell the difference between 33° water.
Needs a better temperature sensor, but works great otherwise.

Cools fast, uses lower power, really can’t go wrong with this unit! At first glance you might think I can’t fit much in there BUT you definitely can, keep in mind you don’t need any ice or ice packs so you get to utilize all the space for your stuff and you can fit a lot in this unit. I also purchased BougeRV’s power station that fits in the side compartment, wow what an awesome set up! No cords running all over to an external battery station, everything is nice and compact and super versatile. Overall I couldn’t be happier, so far no issues and I think it’ll stay that way, the fridge freezer seems well and and solid. Excellent customer, responded quickly to answer all my questions. If you’re looking for a fridge/freezer, I would highly recommend this unit.
